AVP - Business Analyst (Traded Risk Control)

Description Working with risk managers and internal stakeholders to understand and establish business requirements Provide project support as liaison between developers and subject matter experts. Participation in full development cycle up to and including testing, implementation and post production support Ongoing support and incremental enhancements for existing applications and processes already owned by Traded Risk Control. Appropriate documentation of business activities (requirements documents, technical specs, emails, etc.) which may be required for future tracking or audit purposes. Diligent confirmation that project solutions meet the objectives of the project, including compliance with specific regulations. Support of the US bank and broker/dealer balance sheets. Support as required of business functions in North America. Customers / Stakeholders: Market Risk Traded Credit Risk Management; Sales, Trading & Relationship Management; Product Control; Various Software Delivery (IT) teams; Compliance, Legal, and Regulatory teams; WMR/Traded Risk Global Strategy. Major Challenges Continuous adaptation to business environment under constant and occasionally dramatic change in response to the economic environment, new regulations, and changing business tactics. Developing sufficient comprehension of existing processes, systems, and business practices required to recommend and implement future solutions. Dependencies upon teams and functions outside of immediate area of responsibility. Qualifications Minimum 3-5 years proven and progressive technical, commercial, banking and credit experience or equivalent. BA degree in computer science, statistics, business, finance, or related field. Proven financial, communications, systems, interpersonal, analytical, and reasoning skills Knowledge of traded credit and market risk management for products such as derivatives swaps, forwards, options, repos, securities financing, etc. This role is responsible for implementation of tactical and strategic process improvements to support the bank's evolving traded credit risk and market risk management activities. Role may include project support, process analysis, target process design, and developing and supporting technical applications/tools which improve the bank's ability to measure, monitor and aggregate risk.
