Job Description:

Morgan Hunter IT Division is seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst for one of our strategic clients. This FT/PERM role is critical to the success of several different initiatives. The Analyst position requires a highly motivated individual who is able to stay focused in a busy environment driven by multiple, and often aggressive deadlines. This position requires a thorough knowledge of the requirements process and project lifecycle methods. This position also requires an understanding of process improvement, workflow mapping, user story and visual development techniques. Major Responsibilities: Partner with product and process owners to understand the vision and business value for the domain/project. Facilitate release planning sessions to develop and maintain the product roadmap. Ability to document and understand processes Establish the product backlog and work with the product/process owners to ensure feature-level user stories are prioritized and accurately reflect customer and business priorities. Lead cross-functional teams comprised of product management, operations, and other subject matter experts to facilitate user story development. Proactively communicate and collaborate with internal customers to analyze information needs and functionality requirements. Regularly groom the product backlog by adding, prioritizing, and/or removing feature-level user stories to maintain alignment to the product/project vision and roadmap. Prepare for iteration planning by selecting appropriate user stories and leading story review. Perform detailed story analysis to determine conditions of satisfaction and to understand the impact to other systems, projects, domains, and operational teams. Ensure delivery of Analyst artifacts as agreed to by the project/domain team. Participate in daily scrum meetings and take the initiative to organize other necessary meetings and ceremonies. Answer ad hoc questions and provide clarification/direction to development and support teams regarding user stories and functions. Coordinate with the product/process owner to inspect the development progress at the end of each iteration to accept or reject completed work. Arrange client reviews of software under development to validate client satisfaction. Review and approve test plans and test cases. Partner with product/process owner to educate end-users and processors regarding new enhancements. Contribute to continuous improvement and proactively support knowledge-sharing within the domain/project team and the Analyst practitioner community. Work to define and improve team and practitioner processes.Education / Experience / Skills: Bachelor's degree or 10+ years of analyst experience or product development experience. Would say 5+ years Must have exceptional soft skills, including the ability to speak to both technical and business concerns. Ability to think logically, critically, and constructively about complex problems and propose solutions that address expressed needs. Ability to facilitate negotiation and build consensus amongst competing parties, ultimately driving teams to decision. Ability to glean organizational strategy and work with stakeholders to identify and define priorities appropriately. Proven experience and passion for facilitating requirements gathering sessions, designing customer facing interfaces (navigation, look, and feel) for complex web applications and websites. Excellent strengths in time management and organization skills with an aptitude toward creative problem solving. Possess outstanding leadership skills. Ability to operate independently and effectively, making progress on tasks while dealing with process and project ambiguity. Experience with analysis in Agile development environments. Experience using Agile frameworks and BDD test specification frameworks a plus In depth knowledge of latest Microsoft Office Products, MS Project, Internet, and email Preferred Qualifications SQL experience is preferred.
